Grateful.

Thanksgiving came and went way too fast. We hosted Thanksgiving here, in Las Vegas, with my side of the family. And a post documenting our hosting will come sooner or later.
I couldn't let the year end without giving thanks to the most important people in my life.
These two beautiful girls and my much adored husband.

They continue to teach me so much and they always make me smile.
Thank you for all you do for me. I love you, Daniel, Kate and Lucy.
I'm a lucky girl!

I am overwhelmed with gratitude this years end and i'm so grateful to all my friends and family who love us so much!

Day 3: Write letter to Santa.

My friend, Brit, shared some great activities that she puts in her advent calendar. So, since i had no idea what activities to put in, i relied on her expertise and just copied it. Thanks Brit.

Kate is really into Christmas this year [she also wants everything in sight for Christmas.] She changes all our advent calendars everyday and pulls out our activity for the day. Today's activity was writing a letter to Santa, or better known as, the LIST.

So, i sat both of them down at the table and we wrote.

Kate told me what she wanted and i jotted it down with a pencil and she traced over the whole thing. She's actually getting pretty good at writing. She can write her first and last name all by herself [thank you preschool!].

Kate also told me what Lucy wanted. I wrote it down and then let her scribble on her page. The girls were so excited about their lists. And Kate can't wait for tomorrows activity.

It must be said... I LOVE Christmas time!

On a side note:
1. Lucy is adorable... and cuddly and sweet.
2. She is also like a hamster. The girl stores food in her cheeks and saves it for later.
Hilarious, i know. Check her out.

Softball.

We went to cheer on my brother-in-law in his softball championship game this week. It was so much fun. Brings me back to the days when i went to cheer on my little brother. I love baseball games! The girls had fun... it may have been a tad bit cold, but we survived. Dustin played great and i got some good shots while watching!

Channel 426.

My husband doesn't watch too much sports. But he recently ordered the direct tv Soccer package.
Oh boy.
And it looks like he converted Kate... Lucy, not so much.

Mimi's little helper.

Always wants to help her mimi, no matter what the activity.
Always likes to dress like her too [notice the aprons].

500th post and an artist.

This post marks my 500th! Lately, my posts have been few and far between... i've said it before, but i have tons to update. I might have to do a series of 'flashbacks' to catch up. Until then, i will update the most recents, it's just easier that way.

A couple weeks ago Kate painted her first canvas.
She is quite the artist. And she loved to do it.
She painted a rainbow for her room, with much concentration.
She did such a beautiful job.
