Our Church put on this country fair a couple weekends ago. And let me just say, it was a HIT!
Food, Friends, Games, Prizes, slides and a dunk tank were all part of the party. I think i heard there was 1,500+ people there. It was a packed house! We ate, listened to some live music, played a few games, got face painted and then watched as our bishop got dunked in the dunk tank. We had quite the fun and the kids were bummed when it was time to go home. Can't wait til next years Fair!

New Beginnings.

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I am involved with the young women (ages 12-18) in my church.
And every year we welcome in the new (12 yr old) girls into this young women's program.
We discuss the theme, personal progress and how the young women program works.
This year, i was in charge.
It was a lot of work, but i had a lot of fun!
We chose the theme Happily Ever After.
We focused on letting the girls know that they can write their own story. That they can make their own happily ever after.
I was so impressed with the girls and their involvement. I was very proud of them.
Here are a few photos from the evening.

I made a subway art with the 13th Article of Faith.
(Want it? Download it here.)

I also hand stamped 16 necklaces that said "EVER AFTER."
And made cupcakes topped with gumballs.

It was such a great night.
So grateful to all the leaders and girls who participated and helped.

Mad Hatter RS Bday Dinner.
Our enrichment committee did such a great job on the Relief Society Birthday Dinner this year. It was a Mad Hatter Tea Party theme. The food was delicious and the decor was a lot of fun! Thanks ladies for putting on such a great Party!!!

Baby, it's cold outside.
Our Christmas party was a huge success! We had 250+ people there (way more than we expected), a great little program and great food, including the fabulous and most delicious hams ever, made by our friend Jason (LV Bajio Owner). Thanks Jason, i can't tell you how many people raved about that ham. Unfortunately no pictures were taken, i was too busy and forgot my camera at home. Anyway... in other news... it's semi snowing today. Nothing really sticking, but it sure does get me in the mood for christmas. Kate is sleeping, mom is on her way into town, i haven't showered today [yet] and right now i'm trying to get my Christmas cards ready for delivery.
P.S. My birthday is only 2 days away! Yay!

ward christmas party.
Yes, we are still in the activities committee, we're actually in charge. So the planning is over and we are in full party mode making sure everything looks pretty, sounds pretty and tastes pretty. The party starts friday, december 12th at 6:30pm at the buffalo/robindale chapel (you're invited by the way). Until about 10 pm that night you probably won't be hearing from me via blogging, i have much to do and little time to do it.
Regular posting will resume on Saturday. Thank you for your patience. loves.
