Christmas Eve + Christmas Day.

We attended the annual Zobrist Christmas Eve Party at Richard and Angie's. Its always a great time! The girls played and played. We had a delicious dinner, sang some songs and waited for Santa. Santa finally came and the kids were so excited! Santa and Mrs. Claus told a story and then all the kids got to sit on Santa's lap.

After the party we headed to Mimi and Papa's house and opened out Christmas pj's. We got comfy enjoyed the night and then went to sleep.

The girls woke up at around 7:30am and we headed downstairs to see if Santa had come. And in fact he did, and he brought a sled full of gifts! Thanks Santa!!

Hope you had a Merry Christmas! We sure did!

Meeting Santa 2011.

The girls saw Santa 3 times this year! We saw him at the mall, he came to our house one night and then at the annual Zobrist Christmas Eve Party.
Kate would talk his ear off every time. She was so excited and didn't want him to forget anything on her list. Lucy was a little hesitant, but warmed up most of the time because she saw how comfortable Kate was.
Kate did ask a couple time why he was wearing different outfits and why sometimes his beard was longer... Well, what did we say? He has different outfits for different occasions/days, just like you and i... and about the beard, we must have seen it right after he got it cut.

I love the magic of Christmas.
We believe!

Flashback :: Christmas Program.

Kate had a little preschool Christmas program.
It was the cutest thing ever.
I may have gotten a little teary eyed thinking of how big she is getting and that next school year she will be in Kindergarten.
Anyway, Ms. Jamie does such a good job with these kids.
And the kids just adore her!

Flashback :: Thanksgiving 2011

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year. Although it was not as elaborate as last year, it was great. We cheated and ordered everything from honey baked ham. My whole family was here {except mom, she was in Bolivia} including my Aunt Linda, who came all the way from NY. It was so much fun to have everyone here.
Unfortunately i did not take ANY photos. {I was a little out of it since i had just had gum surgery.}
However, we did dress the kiddos up and took them to the desert for a quick photo shoot.
And here's what we got.
But we'll have to update the Pierce cousin photo shortly with baby Dye arrival in 3.5 weeks.

Flashback :: Halloween 2011

Playing Catch-up.
Seems like this happens way too often.
I still have photos from 2010 Halloween that never made it to the blog... maybe one day?

Anyway...
Our halloween {day} was filled with dressing up {of course} and parties.

-Kate had a party at school...

- And by night was the annual Zobrist Halloween Party, which included a cupcake walk, minute to win it games and trick or treating.

Merry Christmas 2011.

We've been busy. Busy shopping, crafting, having fun, eating, looking at Christmas lights, celebrating birthdays and much more. I just sent these out about 2 days ago, so look for them in your mailbox!

The girls are completely excited about Christmas. Only a few more days. Kate always says she just can't wait that long. When you're a kid it always seems much longer. I actually can't wait to see my 2 and their faces on Christmas morning. It's going to be SO.MUCH.FUN!

Merry Christmas!
Love, The Dyes.

P.S. 8 more weeks til Baby Brother debuts. We are counting down! Now, what to name this little fellow??

Halloween 2011

Kate was dying to be Ariel this year for Halloween. So after looking at a bunch of different ariel costumes, she settled for this one. She loved all the sparkles and the purple and green. She said it looked exactly like Ariel.
Lucy, she wants to do anything Kate does. So she content being Ariel's sister, (Arista, i think?).
We went to mimi and papa's to take a few photos before heading over to our Ward Trunk or Treat. Love these cute girls.

Friends at Trunk or Treat.
Kate and Lucy were so excited to finally go trick or treating... actually Lucy couldn't believe people were just giving her candy.

As for Daniel and I, we thought about keeping the theme of little mermaid... Me being Ursula and Daniel being King Triton... but the shirtless mer-king was not a convincing costume. So we settled on Cowboys and Indians. (P.S. 24 weeks pregnant)

Love this cowboy.

Stu Millers Pumpkin Patch 2011.

Our annual trip to Stu Miller's Pumpkin Patch was a success once again! The girls had a blast riding the rides, jumping in the bounce houses and checking out all the different sizes and shapes of the pumpkins. After the patch we headed to Mimi and Papa's house and carved some pumpkins. I think everyone did a great job, we have definite carving skill!

The girls are so excited for Halloween and to trick or treat, they are mermaids this year. As for Daniel and i, we have been busy trying to get organized for our family of 4 turning into a family of 5 shortly after the holidays. I feel like i have so much time, but i know it will be here before i know it. Looking for "boy stuff" is new to me, but i'm getting more used to turning and looking on the boys side of Gap instead of gravitating toward the cute, frilly, pink dresses, skirts, shoes and things of the girls side. (I still think shopping for a girl is so much more fun than shopping for a boy.) But besides the clothes, i am so looking forward to meeting this handsome little guy come February. And the girls are beyond excited to have another set of toes to play 'this little piggy' with. Baby bother is going to be quite popular around here, i can already tell.

Love this boy.
