I love celebrating ANY holiday and most all holidays are my favorites. Valentine's Day is always great because i get to show the people i love how MUCH i LOVE them... and i get a couple gifts too!
Our Valentines day actually started on Tuesday when a few of our friends {gibsons and utleys} invited us to share the evening with them. A couples only dinner at N9ne, a steakhouse in the Palms! We are lucky enough to have family so close and they are always willing to babysit. {Thank you Kathie and Ron!} So a new Valentines Tradition started... a Couples Only Dinner at a NEW restaurant every year! We met at the restaurant around 7ish, got seated and started looking over the menu, A menu with a variety of delicious entrees. N9ne was a little noisy and crowded, but none of that mattered when we got our food. Daniel got a 24oz Porter House Steak, which he says was the BEST steak he has ever had and i got the Kobe Burger w/fries, a well very fulfilling. And we couldn't leave without having a bit of dessert even if we were all totally full! So we got the s'mores. Graham crackers, chocolate, marshmallows, and YES, even FIRE, with a little scoop f chocolate ice cream. Definitely the best s'mores i've ever had! The evening was very fun and we had a great time talking, laughing, and eating!
Even though we had our Valentines Day Dinner on Tuesday, that didn't mean we weren't going to celebrate Val Day on the actual day... Of course we were! So yesterday morning i woke up a little earlier than usual and prepared breakfast for Valentine. Eggs and Heart toast, yum! Then i surprised Daniel with a new toy, satellite radio {his radio is so junky and static-y ll the time}. He was pretty happy about it. We gave Kate her Valentines Build-a-Bear and a heart balloon, which was a big hit! Daniel gave me the boots i've been wanting since before christmas! Then Daniel headed off to work... Kate and i decided to surprise him at work with some chocolate covered strawberries and to go to lunch with him. After lunch i came home and found a dozen gorgeous long stemmed roses on the doorstep! I love flowers! Thanks Dand! Then we headed off to dinner at the Olive Garden with Granny Bird, Darren, Josh, Kara, Brooklyn, and Brady. Another place that i LOVE!
We had a great Valentines Day/week! Hope all of you had a great day too! xoxo
