Rummikub...

We spent Friday night with our friends Adam and Michelle... Dinner at Sammy's (yum)... which included the delicious Roast Chicken Wrap for me and the New York Style Pizza for Daniel. And we couldn't go to Sammy's without having the oh so famous Messy Sundae... i only wish i had a camera with me during this... i was giving Kate a few tiny bites of whipped cream and the girl was going CrAzY for more, more, more! All at the table were cracking up as she waved her hand hysterically and had her mouth as wide open as it could get!

After dinner we went back home and started playing Rummikub... which has actually started, as of Friday night, a long-running competition... Let me explain... First of all Adam would not play unless we played EXACTLY by the rules. No made-up rules (apparently when he plays with Michelle's family, they get a little carried away with fictitious rules), and scoring only the way the instructions outline. We all agreed and the competition began... We played a total of 4 games... Daniel won the first game, Adam won the second and third game... and by then the boys were nothing less but boasting to the losers (Michelle and i), but we all decided to play one more... just to give the girls one last chance... Thanks guys... Guess who won the last game?? I did... and i won BIG! Adam hadn't even laid down yet and Daniel had only a couple of tiles down... And according to the rules and scoring i had won the whole game!!! Take that! {You can read more about our on-going rummikub battle and scores on dambRummikub.blogspot.com} As for now... i am the champion!

Rummikub Scoring:
After a player has cleared the rack and called "Rummikub", the losing players add up the value of the tiles they are holding on their racks. This score is totaled as a minus (negative) amount. The winner of the round received a positive (plus) score equal to the total of all the losers' points. At the end of each round, each player totals his minus and plus scores to produce a total score.
