Ward Valentines Dance...

Daniel and I are in the activities committee, we have a great time planning, preparing, and decorating for our activities. This past Friday our ward had an Adult Valentines Dance. We and others in our committee prepared for the event hours and even days prior {getting decorations, food, dj, dance lessons, etc} ... as 7 o'clock approached we were waiting for our fellow ward members to come and join us for fun dancing and delicious fondue... however to our surprise not a whole lot of people showed up {approx. 10 couples}. I mean we figured there wasn't going to be a TON of people due to the fact there was not a provided nursery, but it was kind of a bummer when only a few couples arrived. Although i was a little upset at first i decided to have fun anyway. And fun was had!

Well, now that that activity is over it is time to start planning our next one. As i was looking for ideas and thinking about how we could get a better turnout, i stumbled across this quote that gave me a totally different perspective on the upcoming activities...
“We should bear in mind that the success of a given activity cannot always be judged by its size. Rather, it must be judged by its effect on the lives of those participating.”
-President James E. Faust

Thank you Pres Faust!
