A Tribute...

to the mothers in my life...

how grateful i am for your example, for your love, for your support, for your trust, for your kindness, for your advice, and for your tender hearts...

Grandma Wheeler ... i am constantly reminded of you whenever i see my dad. You are sorely missed. I wish Daniel and Kate could have met you. You are a shinning example in my life. I remember very specific moments spent with you and grandpa... i remember how i loved to hear you call us to dinner when we were visiting you... you would say "Supper's ready, come to the table." I remember the lake you lived on and how we would bring bread down to the dock and feed the ducks. I remember how good you were to grandpa and to us... especially to us... I remember how you loved aerosoles shoes and how you thought they were the most comfortable shoes and i remember you trying to buy us some when we were in middle school and we would think "no grandma, that's not my style". And i remember how every time you would visit us or we would visit you, you would let us pick numbers for your lotto tickets. I love you Gma Wheeler... we miss you... ALOT!

Mamia ... What a wonderful woman you are, strong, smart, caring, kind, i can go on and on. I remember how much family means to you... how you would do anything for us! You are such an inspiration... raising EIGHT beautiful, righteous, wonderful children. Setting a standard for all of us. My heart is full thinking about how much you have sacrificed in the name of family. You were never one to take time for yourself, your life has been spent serving, caring, and nurturing others. You are the prime example of what a mother should be. You are so patient, i can never ever recall a time that i heard you raise your voice, or speak an unkind word. Your testimony and your sincerity humble me. I just hope i can be half the woman you are. Te quiero mucho! We love you so and hope we can visit soon.

Grandma Dye... Although i haven't known you at your best, your spirit touches me whenever i'm around you. Your sweet smile lights up rooms and your testimony is shared through your eyes. You've raised four great boys, You are such a strong lady. Daniel shares wonderful stories about you and how much he adores you. Ron also talks about "mom" and how strong she was for raising 4 crazy boys! Thank you for your constant love, your 60+ years of marriage is such an example. Thank you for loving the gospel and for serving so much! We love you grandma dye.

Granny Bird... from the moment i heard about you, i knew you were a special woman. Then when i met you, you blew me away... you're memory is fantastic and your love for your family is immeasurable. I am constantly amazed at your energy, the stories you tell and especially how you can remember names of your teachers and friends from elementary school. You have raised an incredible family. Words cannot express the gratitude i have for you and your children and their families. How amazing is it that you and Ernie created such a kingdom! I am so so so very lucky to be a part of your beautiful family. Your love for us is shown in so many ways all the time, your humble heart is shown through your service and your testimony is shown through your actions and your example. Thank you for being such a good role model, such a good grandmother and great grandmother. We love you so.

Aunt Linda... When there was no one else to turn to, there you were. When gma and gpa died, there you were. When times were rough in our home, there you were. When we needed a good time, there you were. You have always been there to love, to support, to give, to care for, to congratulate, to lift up, to comment and to always, always, always make me feel better. You always make me feel like i'm your number one! You are amazing! Your strength has made me stronger, your hard working example have made me a harder worker and your sincere kindness has made me kinder. Thank you for being a part of molding my life. "Guess What?" "I Love You!" xoxo

Kathie... like your mother, your traits amaze me. You are the most giving person i have ever met. You always think of others before your self and you are constantly looking for ways to serve. The way you magnify your callings are such a good example in my life... you have always gone above and beyond no matter what the situation. The gratitude i have for you is overwhelming... you have done so much for me in these past three years that i am indebted to you for life. You uplift, you strive to learn something everyday, you are an amazing mother in my life. You are a great mother and through your kids you can tell. Thank you for raising such a strong, handsome, wonderful, patient, caring, selfless, loving son of god. You are an amazing woman and all who come in contact with you can tell. How lucky am i to be your daughter-in-law!? I could not have asked for anyone better, because you are the best! Thank you for loving me and always being there for our family. We love love love you!

and last be certainly not least, MOM... what a wonderful woman you are. I had to save you for last because by the time i finish writing about you my eyes will be foggy. Where do i even start? My life is what it is today because of you. Because of you i learned the most simple and most complicated things of life. From learning to walk to learning how to raise my own baby. You have always been there... never leaving my side for a minute not even when i tried pushing you away in my teenage years. You were there through the good times and the bad times, always having me on a pedestal. I love thinking about myself through your eyes, it boosts my confidence when i need a little pick me up. My memories with you growing up are cherished. You, like your mother, always put us first, leaving yourself behind. Our happiness was your number one priority, i will never forget this! You always made sure we had the necessities in life and you allowed us to learn the value of work. You worked so hard for us and i am so grateful for that. You have always loved the Lord and the church and your faith is very admirable. You have taught us right from wrong and have encouraged us to always choose the right. Your teaching and examples are such a blessing in my life. Thank you for all your love, support, testimony and strength. We love you.

Happy Mother's Day to you all!
