Ice Cream Truck...

Kate's first encounter with the Ice Cream Truck...

It started when I heard the music playing from the speakers. I couldn't really contain myself, i've heard it several times before strolling the neighborhood, but HAD restrained my inner child from running out and after it... but that night i was craving an ice cold frozen treat, anything really, plus, i was craving to see the eyes of a little girl, MY little girl, light up with excitement when we ran to the truck to pick out what looked appealing to us. It brought back several memories from my childhood in Miami, living just 5 houses down form my cousins... We were addicted to playing outside and riding bikes all around our neighborhood. And then hearing the lovely sound of the ice cream truck and racing home to get some money. I can still remember that excitement and the thrill of picking out whatever i wanted! It may sound silly, but that's the kind of kid i was. I see alot of me in Kate... And when i told her to pick out whatever she wanted, she was just too excited to decide. She pointed to everything. We finally decided on The jolly rancher big stick... It. Was. Delicious. This will certainly not be our last encounter with the Ice Cream Truck... i can't wait to taste what we pick next!

Girls camp is LESS than a WEEK AWAY and two camp directors are scrambling to get everything done.... meanwhile somewhat neglecting our children and when checking on them we find this...

At least they were having ALOT of fun!!! Thanks for the help stacey... and kids, for keeping my girl busy.

This two year old.

This is what happens when i leave my computer within the reach of this two year old... she has no idea what she's doing, but she loves to press buttons and act like she's doing something important.

July 4th.

We celebrated Kate's birthday with family and friends on independence day. Kate had a blast... and so did everyone else. We swam, ate, swam, opened presents, watched fireworks and played with sparklers! Thank you to all who came!!! Especially those who came from out of town! We love you all. I'm pretty sure kate had a GREAT 2nd birthday...

July 1st.

On kate's birthday we went to lunch at canyon gate (yum!) and then got together at mimi + papa's and sung happy birthday to our little 2 year old! Every time we asked her what she wanted for her birthday all shewould say is "CUPCAKES!" So we also headed over to Mad Hatter cupcakes and i let her pick out 2 cupcakes... She was sooo excited! Happy Birthday Kate... love you!

While my mom and brother were in town this weekend we headed to bonnie springs for a quick grad photo shoot. Congrats Kev for graduating!!!

yes, she is 2!

I just can't believe this little girl is so quickly turning into a big girl!

Just 2 years ago she made me a mom and since then she has also made me more patient, made me happier, made me smile more, she's made me a better person. I love her so!

Lately,
she is obsessed with swimming... we swim everyday.
She can hold her breath under water.
She can kick her feet.
She can float on her back.
She loves diving rings and goggles.
She still loves to read.
She loves to sing. Her favorite songs include: ABC's, twinkle twinkle little star, popcorn popping and i am a child of god, and yes she can sing all of them by herself!
When we are on a road trip she loves to listen to 2 songs: apologize by one republic and bleeding love by leona lewis.
She loves playing with friends.
She's social and says "hi" and "bye" to anyone we walk by while in a store/restaurant/anywhere!
She loves dora, anything dora.
She loves puzzles.
She recently enjoys drawing + coloring, and although it's just a bunch of lines and scribble, i think it's beautiful.
She loves her baby sister already and always asks to play with baby lucy.
She's so sweet and occasionaly likes to cuddle.
She loves to play in her kitchen and cook for anyone.
She's very active.
She loves to swing and slide.
She loves her mom and daddy.

I could go on and on about this fun little girl. I love spending my days with her. She. is. amazing. Love you katesy girl!
