Park Day.

I took the girls to the park the other day with my friend, Lea. Kate had a blast [of course]. She made a friend, which was really fun for her. This friend followed her around and copied her every singe move. It was definitely entertaining to watch the two of them explore.

As for Miss Lucy Pearl, she was as content as can be, sittin' all snuggled up in her car seat [it was a little chilly]. Her blues were shining and she was all smiles... I think she is too old already, i'm not ready to give up my little newborn. But it sure is fun seeing her little sweet personality blossom.

Love these girls to death!

Cousins...

Kate often asks about her cousins. She asks to call them, if she could go to their house, if they can come, where they live, etc.

Last weekend she was so excited that they came in town. We had a ton of fun playing around the house, eating and bowling. They left way too soon.

Uncle Dave playing with Lucy.

Not sure where Kate learned this, but i guess i didn't stop her, just took a picture of the funny moment.

Tried to take some photos of the kiddos.

By this picture you would probably guess that the two kids on the right were close in age... but in fact Tyler[3yrs, 5 mths] is 13 months older than Kate[2yrs, 6 mths] and Kate is 4 months older than Hailey[2 yrs, 2 mths]

Love these kids.

Full House.

My cousin Sandy and her husband, Colby have been living with us for a few months now. They moved down from St George and in the process of finding a place have been occupying our guest room. Saying that we absolutely love having them here is an understatement. Really! Most of you might cringe at the thought of having another married couple living with you for a few months, and normally i probably would to. There are not many people i could probably live with, but Sandy and Colby are the perfect tenants! They are so chill and love to have fun. They love my girls [which i love] and they help me tons! They help me clean and cook and even help with my kiddos, Sandy works out with me and Colby downloads ton of movies for our nightly viewing. Kate and Lucy love having them here too. They always play with them and keep them occupied when i'm busy or just worn out. We love the Wheelers!

...And woody is fun to have around too, Kate loves to play outside with him, tell him what to do, hide his toys and chase him around!

4 months...

Where has the time gone! My baby is 4 months old already! Haven't taken her for a check up yet, but when i do her stats will surely be posted. Adorable, isn't she?

At 4 months, Lucy Loves:
-to go for car rides
-to be held
-to watch her big sister
-to play with toys in her bouncer
-to eat
-to be cuddled
-to lay all sprawled out on the floor

She is trying hard to roll over.
She is liking to be on her tummy more and more.
Time is going a little fast for my liking.
Happy 4 months baby girl!

My two.

Kate...

She is now 2 1/2. When did she get so big?
She has a wonderful imagination.
She's starting to remember her dreams, which makes for some laughs.
She loves bikes.
She loves to paint/draw/color.
She loves to fix things, thanks to Santa for her tools!
She is obsessed with Tinker Bell.
She talks so much!
She poses for pictures.
She has the sweetest personality.
She loves everyone.
She is an absolute joy to have around!
Her terrible twos have definitely tested my patience at times, but her smile puts a smile on my face.
I love this little girl.

Lucy...

She is the perfect baby. Kate is lucky to have her.
She is sweetly sensitive.
She loves to smile.
She loves, loves, loves her big sister.
She is calm.
She loves to cuddle.
She loves to have something in her hand while she's sleeping.
She has recently taken an interest in toys.
I want her to stay small forever!
She is growing too fast, way too fast.
I am enjoying her so much, she makes me want to have a whole bunch more.
She is a doll.
I love my lucy.

Saying goodbye...

To a wonderful year.
To the holiday season.
To my Christmas decor.

'Til next time, thanks for bringing me good cheer...

Happy New Year!

The eve of the new year was spent with a ton of friends and a party at our house. So glad Stacie and i decided to celebrate and put on a party. We had food and games and just some good fun! We counted down and at the stroke of twelve we set off fireworks, noise makers and toasted to a new year! Thanks to all who came and to all who didn't, we sure did miss you!

And yes, the kids stayed up to celebrate with us! They were just so adorable!

Christmas Day!

Oh Christmas Day! We spent the night in our matching pj's at Ron and Kathie's with the entire Dye Family. We slept until about 7am when Kate woke up and asked, "mama, did Santa come?" to which i replied, "I don't know, let's go see." And as we made our way down the stairs kate was calling out, "Santa, are you here? ... Santa where are you?" We finally made it down to find that Santa did in fact come, and boy, we must have all been good this year! Thank you Santa!
Kate ended up with an Easel with all the goods, a bike, a few books, some kitchen accessories, a cash register, dress up chest, a few telephones and of course, two tool boxes. Lucy got a bumbo, a wooden stacking toy and a plush stacking toy, some clothes, a jj cole bundle me, and some rattles. I must say... we had a great Christmas!

p.s. oh how i especially love being a mom on Christmas morning!
