WICKED Anniversary!

I must start by saying that i have the most amazing, wonderful, thoughtful, and handsome husband in the WORLD! Yesterday was our third anniversary, a couple weeks ago i asked daniel if i should plan it or would he like to... he said he would... but i did not expect this!
We had talked about going to dinner and a show, but a few days before i told him i would just rather go on some of the Stratosphere rides... he agreed, but was secretly planning an extravagant event! The morning of our day he told me to meet him for lunch at his parent's house and we would decide where to go from there... i got dressed up and headed over to my in-laws. He showed up and we decided on Cafe Rio. Cami was in the family room and offered to watch Kate while we had an anniversary lunch (she knew the plan the entire time!)... We accepted the offer and after lunch we were headed in the wrong direction of my in-laws house, i asked daniel where we were going and he announced that we were driving to Los Angeles to have dinner and see WICKED! I of course am ecstatic and amazed! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU cami, rachy, darren, kathie and ron for watching kate and helping keep the surprise!

We made the 4/5 hour (traffic) journey to L.A. and drove around to Beverly Hills and the beach...

And in the mist of this chaotic city also found the light at the top of a hill... The L.A. temple is gorgeous and sits on acres of land right in the middle of Santa Monica Blvd.

As we were driving, we spotted Ketchup, we called and made reservations for 6 o'clock. I enjoyed the atmosphere and decor at Ketchup, everything was red and white. We had a rather unique but very delicious appetizer called "3 Some" which included 3 different kinds of fries (garlic parm, cajun, and sweet potato) with 5 different kinds of ketchup (chipotle, ranch, original, mango, and maple). Seriously Delicious!

For our main course daniel had the salmon with vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes and had the BBQ ketchup grilled chicken with grilled corn on the cob and garlic mashed potatoes. YUM!

Then we headed to the theater, but not before a stop at the famous PINKBERRY. Yummm... how we both LOVE frozen yogurt and ice creams!

Our way to the theater also included a walk down the Hollywood Walk of Stars where we saw the Capitol Records Building and a few well known stars.

WICKED started at 8 and we made it just in time. It was amazing and better than i expected! It was funny and entertaining! I'm so glad that we finally were able to see it after many years of hearing others rant and rave about it.

The show ended at 11 pm and we got in the car and headed home. It was such a great and memorable night!

Daniel, Thanks for loving me and always taking such good care of me! I look forward to what the next years bring as we live happily ever after! xoxo
