Utah adventures.

On our way home from canada we stopped in Lehi for Daniel's cousin's wedding... the ceremony was sweet and right after we headed over to the reception at Thanksgiving Point. There's no doubt about it, it was absolutely beautiful... So of course i grabbed my camera and started snapping pictures of Kate... Well, all of the sudden i felt something crawling on my foot, so i looked down and immediately my foot started hurting... i saw a hornet... and it had stung me... I have NEVER been stung by anything before... it hurt sooooo bad! Daniel took out the stinger, kathie ran and got me some ice and one fo the ladies that worked there got me some medicine. Needless to say, we left after that, i was not about to risk kate getting stung. Come to find out i was the 4th person to get stung that night and a little boy got stung after me... there was obviously a hornets nest and they were in full attack mode! Anyway... her are a few pics i took right before the hornet landed.
P.S. the dang sting is still a little bit swollen, 3 weeks later.

We also stopped by my sisters and hung with her and her family, she just had a new baby girl, natalie. Kate had a BLAST with her cousin Tyler and she is constantly telling me, "mom, i wanna go to tyler and hailey's house" to which i reply, "kate, they live really far away." And then she says, "mom, i wanna go really far away." Thanks linds and dave, for hosting us so soon after the baby!

If you haven't heard...

My wonderful doctor...

will be inducing me on 9/9/09!!! I am so excited and nervous. Kate was a week late, and there is NO way i'm doing that again. So wish me luck... and stay tuned for baby lucy's arrival!

Nesting...

I feel like i have nothing to blog about. All i've been doing is cleaning, organizing, sleeping, eating... and of course, playing with Kate.

I'm sure i'm driving Daniel crazy with my "honey do list" and my restless nights. He's so good to me and never gets a break... from work he comes home to more work and helps me with whatever i want! He's just so perfect for me! Our 4 year anniversary was just last week and i am so grateful to be married to him! Our day was pretty relaxing and spent with ourselves and our girl. I love me some good ole family time.

Kate has also been so good to me! Whenever i'm running errands or just busy with projects, she has just been the best girl... she seems very excited to be a big sister and is very anxious for lucy to come! She is constantly saying " i want to play with baby lucy." She is going to be the BEST big sister!
I'm excited for this pregnancy to be over... although it's gone quite fast, the heartburn (which i have never had in my entire life) is killer! I've been trying to convince my doctor (who i LOVE) to induce me on 9/9/09, I'm technically due 9 days later on 9/18/09. It was pretty easy actually... I asked and he said he had to check his schedule and get back to me... he already has one induction scheduled that day... i'll find out on Monday when i see him again... cross your fingers.

On another note... On my way home from Canada i got an email from SYTYCD for tickets for the FINALE! Of course i went and along with me i took the fab 4 crew (Stacey, Stacie + Brit). We woke up that morning and started our drive at 7:30 am to HOLLYWOOD, CA! Got there, got in line, got our tickets!

Then went to Uwink for lunch, then back to the car to get ready for the show. And it was AWE.SOME! We had a GREAT time, and who wouldn't with these wonderful ladies!

We headed back right after the show at 9:30 pm and pulled back into vegas at about 2 am. Long day but totally worth it.

Then last night another girls night out took us to see Julie & Julia... which was so good... and hilarious! LOVE IT!

Another girls night is in the works for The Time Traveler's Wife... i CANNOT wait to see it... i almost stayed after julie & julia to see it at 12:01 am... but i didn't drive my own car... Oh, and another girls night out to celebrate baby lucy sometime soon, maybe dinner and bowling? or bingo? I'm down for whatever. Anyone in?

Well, i guess i had quite a bit to blog about... Thanks for reading.

Canada... (photo overload!)

We are finally back! Although it's good to be home, it's ALWAYS sad to leave the beautiful Waterton! It definitely makes the 40+ hour round trip drive so worth it, really... it's one of our favorite vacations! And this year did not disappoint... It was kate's second time there, her first was when she was 3 weeks old. She had a BLAST! We arrived there around 1 pm on thursday after leaving wednesday and driving all though the night... Kate was great in the car (she slept most of the time) and right when we got there Darren swept her up and took her down to the new park (they completely re did it and it's a little kids dream!). When they came back we asked kate if she wanted to stay at the cabin or go back home and in her excited little voice she exclaimed "I want to stay in cabin in canada!" The weather was great with the exception of a couple rainy days, the company was great (thanks Benson's), the scenery was just as breathtaking as the last time we were there, hiking with kate was an adventure, horse back riding, bear searching, shopping downtown, consuming "Big Scoop Ice Cream" everyday was a must and delicous as always, Kate's favortie flavor: coookie an keem aka: cookies and cream, multiple trips to the candy shop and pats for $1 slurpees, bike rides around the town, skipping rocks at the lake, a boat ride to the border, picnics and a little hike to a gorgeous waterfall, playing games til midnight and beyond, the scary bat that lurks in the cabin at night, and being with family that we LOVE so dearly and are so grateful for! Can't wait to go back!
Here are a TON of pictures from our trip with a few captions (and i do mean a TON!) Enjoy.

We headed to cameron lake, just a few hours after we arrived, for boat rides... a great way to start our week! Multiple laughs and smiles were provided, which included trying to switch boats in the middle of the lake and ron falling off his seat while rowing the row boat.

This mama was spotted multible times with her 2 cubs.

Our trip to the candy store... she was in overwhelm and had no idea what to choose!

i love this face... which she makes everytime you say "smile, kate!"

The next day we hiked Crandell Lake, darren and ron biked it and while turing a corner darren came about 15 feet away with a big brown bear. Luckily, the bear strolled off just after looking darren straight in the eyes!

These kids had so much fun hiking and especially when we got to the Lake.

Kate and i were constantly at the back of the pack because she was collecting rocks.

Made it to the Lake, and it sure was a beauty!

Make no mistake, this glacier moutain water was SO COLD, but the kids didn't care!

On our way back, insted of collecting rocks, she was collecting flowers.

Diving back into town we spotted this grizzly not to far from the road.

This "baby deer" and many more deer are constantly around the cabin, the little kids loved looking for them each day!

On anther day, we piled into the boat and cruised to the border and then to a trial for a picnic and a little hike.

The shaved line of trees indicates the us/canada border.

We stopped for a photo opt...

And then headed on a trial to a beautiful waterfall...

Again, the freezing cold glacier water... i only wish i would have taken a picture of Josh's face when he jumped out of the water.

Kate and her first Pony Ride!

It took her a little bit to warm up to Ike (the pony)... but she soon LOVED it!
