{FLASHBACK} Goat Haunt and Swinging Bridge Canada 2010

Goat Haunt is actually on the US side of Waterton/Glacier International Peace Park.
It's across the water and you can get there by boat.
So we loaded up and took a great little boat ride to Goat Haunt.

We passed the border.
See the line of trees cut down the middle??
That is the Canada/US border.

We took out our passports and arrived at Goat Haunt.

Here is border patrol stamping our passports.
They stamp it with a little goat.
Kate thought it was so cute!

In Goat Haunt there is a little trail to a swinging bridge.
So Ron, kate and i took the little journey to it.

It's a little scary and a lot of fun.
Swinging bridge is just what it is with rickity wood panels.
A full rush of water below and just some small rope holding it all together.

This was both, me and kate's, first time to the Swinging Bridge.
She liked it so much she even wanted to walk across by herself.
I would not let that happen. Too scary for me.

On our way back to the boat we stopped along the way to get some scenery shots.

The water is sooo cold (hence the name, Glacier National Park).
I swear our feet were turning blue.

Back to Waterton with a beautiful view of the Prince of Wales.

Wordless Wednesday.

The Neptune Pool
At Hearst Castle.
Incredible!
I want to swim there.
Anyone willing to donate $4,000 to $10,000 for a 100 person pool party??
Come on, it'll be so worth it!

{FLASHBACK} en route to Waterton, Canada 2010

Last year Kathie {my mom-in-law} and I braved the 20+ hour drive with my two strapped in the back. It was an adventure to say the least.
Our 20+ hour journey soon turned into a 30+ hour adventure!
The kids did fantastic and we enjoyed taking our time stopping in Provo, Ut {where we met up with the Parcells}; Dillon, Mt and Butte, Mt.
In Butte, we discovered a slew of quaint yet fabulous Antique shops.

Where we {I} made a few purchases that i was quite happy with.
One being in this last photo. Isn't she a beauty {My model is pretty beautiful too}??
For a mere $10 i ended up with a fantastic vintage baby stroller and photo prop.
I must say i very much liked to town of Butte, Mt {even though it's nickname is the armpit of Montana... I completely disagree.}

...Stay tuned. There's more to come! Are you enjoying this mini series of flashbacks? Cause i sure am!

{FLASHBACK} Bertha Falls Canada Aug 2010

Ok, normally i am not a hiker.
But in Canada I love to hike.
Really, my love for {Canada} hiking started last year.
Everyone always talks about such beautiful scenery during hikes and it really got me interested.
So i ventured out my box and decided to try some pretty long hikes {that's another post}.
Bertha Falls is a shorter hike. About 3 to 4 miles to the falls and back.
So we decided to take the kids.
They loved it.
Mimi, Papa, Darren and Kate made a few pit stops for berry picking.
Saskatoon Berries are pretty popular in these parts {especially with the bears}.
Anyway, they are great to eat right off the bushes.
And boy... did they eat.

Another great thing about Waterton are the flowers.
I love photographing all of them {not as much as my mother in law}.
They are all so different and still so beautiful.
Here are a few photos i took while hiking to Bertha Falls.
