Oh the joys of pregnancy...

- back pain
- lack of sleep

- weight gain
- tiredness
- constant bathroom trips
- emotional outbreaks
- never feeling full after a meal
- swelling
- waddling instead of walking

Good thing i love this little girl so much or this would be much worse!

Swimming Lessons...

Swimming Lessons came and went and Kate did so good!! And although it seemed as though she didn't like it with all the crying, i know she actually liked it. Everyday she'd ask say, "mom, i gotta go get my happy face and my sucker." Ms. Barbe gives them happy face stamps and suckers after their lesson and Kate knew that if she did her lesson she would get both of those treats!
Kate is seriously obsessed with swimming, in addition to swimming at her swim lessons, we would then head to mimi and papa's to swim there... she never wanted to get out and one day she went in the pool 3 times! She can't swim by herself yet, but she loves to kick her feet when i'm holding her and she can float on her back and grab the pool wall and move along it. I love this water girl!

Summer!

The weather has been so great here in Vegas, so we have been spending alot of time in the backyard and having so much fun!

Kate really thinks grannybird is all hers... thats just the way she makes everyone feel.

So You Think You Can Dance?

I know that when many of you heard i was going to SYTYCD, you automatically thought i was trying out, but as a matter of fact, they do not allow prego woman to try out, i guess it's a liability... so i had to settle for just standing in the studio audience. :) Anyway... i reserved 4 tickets to the show and we left Monday night... Me, Rachel, Cami + Brittany. We had a blast, we talked all the way to LA and finally arrived at our hotel around 11:30 pm. The next morning we woke up and heading to the studio to stand in line. I was a little over parinoid that we would be at the back of the line, but we were actually the 1st in line! We waited for about 3 hours and then finally got out tickets marked... then we headed to the next waiting area... finally after waiting, i think, around 5 hours? We got to go inside. We were front and center in the second row. It was great, we had so much energy and were so pumped. We waited around a little more before the show started. Then the show started and it was great!!!! We saw all the coreographers, wade waved at me! And when they were giving tony and paris bad comments, i yelled out tony and he winked right at me! So if you watched you probably saw the wink! By the end of the show we were so tired, but drove home anyway... and made it home safe. I'm so glad we went and i'm so glad rach, cami + brit could come with me. Thanks ladies... let's do another trip soon!!!! DEFINATELY WORTH IT!!
Maybe we should go to the price is right next? Who else wants to go?

Than having this girl come home from a walk with her daddy, running through the door saying, in her excited little girl voice... "mommy, i got this flowers for you."
(it's even cuter because she says her "f's" like an "s" so "flowers" sounds like "sh-lowers")

Make-up.

Kate is obsessed with all things girly! And she just LOVES make-up. She always wants to put in on when i put it on, she always goes into my make-up drawer and brings it to me to put it on her. While in Brianhead, we were all playing a game at the table and Kate comes out looking like this...

She got into mimi's make-up and put lipstick on herself and her baby.

Hilarious, i know! I just LOVE this girl!

Memorial Day...

We spent our 3 day weekend up in Brianhead with Daniel's Family (minus dustin + rachy, which we missed!). We had so much fun and Kate LOVED being in the mountains! We went four-wheeling, ate, played games, and enjoyed eachothers company. The whole time we were there we kept asking Kate if she wanted to go on a four-wheeler ride and she would always decline. On our last day, her Papa took her on one and she came back totally asleep! When we got her off she woke up and said "again," So Daniel took her again, she was loving it! Thanks, ron and kathie, for inviting us to get away for the weekend, We had a blast!

An Update...

Well, we've been pretty busy lately, hence my hiatus... Summer is in full swing and we are loving every second of it... Being outside, swimming, sliding and swinging. The Las Vegas heat hasn't been too bad yet so we have been taking full advantage.

Kate is starting swim lessons next week and even though she will probably strongly DISLIKE it, she needs to learn, since we are at my in-laws a ton and they have a pool. Plus the girl LOVES water... the past few weeks when she wakes up in the morning the first thing she says to me is "mama, put my swimsuit on please."

Anyway, my 2 callings in the ward also keep me busy... Ward Camp Director (which i love, but because i'm prego i can't go to camp but still have to do all the work, but thats a story for another post) and Activites Committee Chair.

I am looking forward to a vaction... a week long one... Waterton, Canada, to be more specific. It's one of my FAVORITE vacations! It's so peaceful, laid back and soooo much FUN! I'm pretty sure Kate will LOVE being there too... last time we took her she was a litle over 3 weeks old, i can't wait to see her eyes light up at the mountains, deer in the feilds and going on long walks with her along the lakes and skipping rocks (although she will probably just be throwing rocks, not skipping them). I CAN'T WAIT!

In other news... We are so excited to meet this new baby girl. I think Kate understands a little more each day that she will be a BIG sister and that there is a baby in my tummy. We have a few names in mind... Lucy (which is what we call her) and Gwen. We like both, i am partial to Lucy... i think Kate and Lucy sounds so cute! We will see. Everyday, sometime in the day i wil be sitting on the couch and she will come up and sit on my lap facing me, she then puts her hands on my tummy and starts shaking me saying, "wake up baby lucy," Then she will look at me and say, "i wanna see baby lucy," then she kisses my tummy and gives it a BIG hug. It's so cute. Only 99 days to go. I'm thinking about being induced, Kate wasn't induced, but a week late... i just don't know if i can be a week late again... what do you think?

I still have alot to do in the 99 days before this baby come... i NEED to get kate in her big girl bed, any suggestions? i NEED to rid kate of her 'binky' obsession, any suggestions? i NEED to get the nursery done up and ready for this new baby girl.
